Staffing

All care staff are appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care available. We offer all care staff a continuous training programme to ensure we maintain these standards.

Our team comprises of:

  • A Registered Manager / Director -

    • Name: Stuart Owen;

    • Qualifications: Diploma in Social Work (2001), Diploma in Welfare Studies (1998);

    • Experience: Has been an accredited Supporting People Provider in Denbighshire since 2003, and with his fellow director Mark Jones, set up the company Seashells Limited (Seashells Care and Support Services), and has managed this project for the past four years. The project in Denbighshire offers support and accommodation to seven vulnerable males with learning disabilities and mental health problems who are potentially homeless. In 2005, Stuart and Mark became an Approved Landlord in Conwy County, and in their two properties supports six adults with learning and physical disabilities. Stuart continues to manage the above support services.

  • Care and support staff, the majority of whom are qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Care, or are working towards achieving these qualifications. We aspire to exceed the Care Council for Wales NVQ targets.

Our team are also given knowledge by a social skills training course, so their approach and behaviour is appropriate to our services.

All staff have thorough induction training to enable them to have relevant knowledge of our organisation, and to feel confident to carry out their work competently.
